Abelladonna is a new company that believes great skin care can be achieved without the use of harsh chemicals. We believe that beauty is the whole package and not just what occurs on the outside of your body. It is also our belief that it is the right of everyone to choose products that are as organic and as natural as possible, and that these products are highly effective, safe and most importantly that beauty care and health can be achieved with knowledge and the love of nature.
Our skin care range is made with natural and often organic or wild crafted botanically sourced ingredients, without the use of synthetic chemicals. We manufacture in a way that preserves the integrity of our products by using herbs, roots, flowers and 100% pure essential oils and combining them with naturally occurring carrier oils.
We at Abelladonna have a very strong social conscious particularly when it comes to the use of animals, so it is for this reason that we do not use palm oil in any of our products, due to the devastation that is happening to the Orang-utans and other endangered animals in Borneo and other countries with the deforestation of the natural rainforests. They do this so that they can plant palm trees to obtain palm oil for the manufacturing of soap and other cosmetic products. We choose to not let cost effectiveness harm these animals or humans. Most companies use palm oil as the main ingredient in their soap as it is far cheaper and makes the bars hard. We have worked for many hours to make our beautiful soaps without palm oil or any animal fat.
In continuing with our social conscious we choose to sell products that are made with 100 % bamboo, which include towels, baby bibs and nappies and even hair brushes. We do this because bamboo is a sustainable fast growing crop that produces more oxygen then many trees and because it is one of the fastest growing plants. It is naturally antibacterial, naturally hypoallergenic, absorbs moisture and dries faster than cotton. For all these reasons it makes a beautiful soft fabric that is sustainable and wonderful for children and people who have allergies.
In reality there are not too many truly natural skin care products on the market. Too many companies have jumped onto the ‘natural’ band wagon, when in fact they are still using many chemicals in their skin care ranges that have known allergens in them, many choosing to use these chemicals to prolong the shelf life of the product.
We understand that skin care and health go way beyond just putting a cream onto your skin and expecting miracles overnight, ours is just one step in a holistic approach to your body which includes the belief that what you put into your body (and remembering that your skin is the largest organ of your body so it is ingesting whatever you put onto it) will have effects on all aspects of your health, including the health of your skin.
