CoEnzyme COQ10

CoEnzyme Q10 is referred to as a vitamin-like anti-oxidant and is naturally found in nearly every living cell in the human body - the exceptions being red blood cells and the lens of the eye. It is used by the mitchondria cell organelles to help produce internal energy for the body. However, as we age the natural production of CoQ10 reduces quite dramatically. This may be one of the reasons why children have so much energy (and such radiant skin!) compared to their older adult peers. Being an antioxidant, Coenzyme Q10 helps to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals - these are substances which seek to stabilize themselves by damaging and stealing tiny parts of our cells. Anti-oxidants are wonderful for our health (and our skin) because they sacrifice themselves in order to save our cells from these detrimental molecules. The body produces free radicals in the normal course of energy production and we also encounter them in day-to-day life from various sources such as pollution, certain foods and additives, chemicals added to our water, and even when light hits some plastics, fabrics or paints. What does this mean for your skin? Well, if free radicals are allowed to progress unchecked, they can damage the precious cell membrane which protects against dehydration and other detrimental environmental effects. The collagen, which provides resilience and elasticity in our skin, can be compromised - leading to the visible signs of aging such as wrinkles and sagging skin. By adding CoEnzyme Q10 to your daily topical skincare preparations you can help to fight off the damaging effects of free radicals and maintain the beautiful, youthful radiance of your skin!

Ylang ylang is a tall tropical tree about 20meters (60 feet) high with large, tender, fragrant pink, mauve or yellow flowers. The yellow heads are viewed as being the best in terms of quality. Ylang ylang oil can assist with problems such as high blood pressure, rapid breathing and heartbeat, nervous conditions, as well as impotence and frigidity. Spiritual practitioners claim that the users of Ylang Ylang are those who have been drawn to the oil, and who in turn, suit it.

Yucca Extract Organic Unpreserved

The yucca plant is native to the high deserts of the southwestern United States and Mexico. It is also found less commonly in parts of the eastern United States and West Indies. Extracts from the plant's root are used in alternative medicine as a soap and as an herbal dietary supplement. Yucca plants are tree-like succulents of the lily family (Liliaceae) with stemless stiff, pointed leaves that end in a sharp needle. The Joshua tree, the namesake of Joshua Tree National Park near Palm Springs, California, is believed to have been named by Mormon settlers because the plant's angular branches resembled the outstretched arms of Joshua leading them out of the desert. The yucca flower is a series of white or purple blossoms on a long stalk. The native American tribes often used Yucca as a hair tonic for dandruff. It is also a good way of making the soap lather without having to use the harsh chemicals that are being used in most shampoos today.

Zizyphus Extract

Zizyphus Extract is a 100% natural surfactant derived from the bark of a Brazilian tree known as Zizyphus Joazeiro. It is native to the northeastern region of Brazil and is part of the Rhamnaceae family. The unique qualities of the bark, come from the trunk and branches of this slow growing tree, and this natural surfactant is widely used as a cleanser. The bark is rich in natural foaming saponins which are responsible for its high cleansing power and formation of lather, allowing for easier spreading. Zizyphus Extract is preservative free. Traditionally the bark has been used in Brazil to assist with indigestion and feverish conditions.
